It's all about value!

In farming, you need three things: efficiency, perseverance and a positive attitude. Those are the same qualities you need to succeed in home building.

Betenbough Homes and Homes for Hope Partner Once Again

Betenbough Homes CeremonyLast week, Betenbough Homes broke ground on our Home for Hope in Midland, Texas. I am honored to be working with this passionate organization once again as we start making a difference in the lives of those who live in Midland and around the world. This home will be the start of many homes in the builder’s newest community, Lone Star Trails.

Betenbough Homes is a father and son team dedicated to providing quality homes across West Texas.  Now, they have built over 5,000 homes and will continue to impact their community in any way they can. They have been continuously recognized by Builder Magazine as one of the top home builders in the nation and the recipient of the 2013 Hearthstone Builder Humanitarian Award for a lifetime of public service. Betenbough Homes thinks that there is more to a business than making a profit. Instead, they believe that business is a platform that canBetenbough Homes Ribbon Cutting be used to connect with people and build relationships. The Marketplace Ministry was created to do just that. This Christian organization believes that the purpose of their business is “to glorify God by being faithful stewards of all that is entrusted to us.”

Homes for Hope partners with residential home builders to construct homes in communities all over the country and, with Betenbough Homes, a number of trade partners and suppliers have come to donate labor for Midland’s first Home for Hope. The family who will own this home will be humbled to know that the profit of this home will be going to HOPE International, a Christian organization helping families in the world’s poorest countries. The proceeds New Home for Hopefrom this home will go to help families escape poverty by providing loans to entrepreneurs to start a business and, in turn, get their families out of poverty.

I am very fortunate that so many people have been helping to build a Home for Hope in Midland, Texas, and I cannot wait to see the impact it will have on this community. To find out more about this project and our partnership with Betenbough Homes, please click here.
