In a few short months, it will be that time of year again to drive out poverty at HOPE International’s Annual Lancaster Golf Tournament. This year’s event marks the tournament’s 14th year and will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014. Participants will enjoy a relaxing day of golf, and all proceeds go toward investing in the dreams of families living in poverty around the world.
Events like these allow us to empower families living in the world’s underserved communities. Unemployment robs many of the opportunity to earn an income, but Christ-centered microenterprise development restores it. HOPE International works in 17 countries worldwide to address poverty by providing biblically based business training, savings services, and small loans.
This year’s golf tournament will take place at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York, PA, with admission at $100 per golfer. The event raised $215,000 last year alone, and it has allowed HOPE to serve more than 21,000 men and women since our first event.
