It's all about value!

In farming, you need three things: efficiency, perseverance and a positive attitude. Those are the same qualities you need to succeed in home building.

Meet: Cecile Nyiransabimana

In Shyogwe, Rwanda, Cecile Nyiransabimana and her two children are no strangers to the hardships of living in a third-world country. They routinely went hungry and had almost nothing when Cecile joined the People of Love saving circle, a HOPE International local partner.

Cecile NyiransabimanaAfter joining, Cecile took a $3 loan from the group to purchase two chickens. Knowing that she had very little, the group was patient with her in the repayment. Cecile was not a Christian at the time, but through the Christ-like behavior she witnessed with the People of Love group, she made the decision to commit her life to following Jesus Christ.

Since then, every three months, Cecile accesses loans from People of Love. Along with the loans, her group has also graciously purchased a goat for each member. Cecile is proud of having a goat and the changes it signifies for herself and for her family.
“When you are alone, you are hopeless because you are poor. Once you are together, you always pray, and you comfort one another through testimonies,” Cecile reflects.

Life has improved significantly, spiritually, physically and socially, for Cecile and her family. Now, she pays tithes, pays her children’s school fees and feeds them at least twice a day.

There are many families and children who go hungry every day. With HOPE International’s local partners, like People of Love, we are committed to help every family in need through God’s love and the talents He has given us.
