For those looking to buy a home in an emerging area, Silver Springs is the place to be. According to CPBJ, this Cumberland County township continues to grow and lead in home construction.
Last year alone, Silver Springs had 267 residential permits. Nearby Hampden Township had just 87. That’s a big difference and shows that Silver Springs has been busy due to popular demand.
Why’s that? Well, more families are building in Silver Springs because of everything it has to offer. From the prestigious Cumberland Valley School District to entertainment and fun, there is something for everyone.
The Cumberland Valley School District ranks 80th of 577 districts. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Cumberland Valley High School is 44 percent. In addition to a great school district, Silver Springs is home to several small business and farms, stores, restaurants, golf courses, lakes and parks.
Residents enjoy shopping and dining at the convenient Silver Spring Square, known for bringing the first of several chains to the area a few years ago, most notably Wegmans. The Lake Grubb Nature Park includes a mile-long hiking trail, fishing, a playground and picnic areas. The 11-acre Silver Springs Park offers soccer fields, baseball and volleyball fields, a playground area and picnic areas.
At Keystone Custom Homes, we enjoy seeing Silver Springs grow and look forward to building new homes in and around the area. For more information, be sure to visit www.keystonecustomhome.com.
