Central Pennsylvania keeps growing. Recently, the latest chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) launched in Hampden Township near Harrisburg.
Founded by Marsha Firestone 20 years ago, WPO is a non-profit membership organization to more than 1,800 women presidents, CEOs and managing directors of privately held, multi-million dollar companies. The members take part in professionally facilitated peer advisory groups that provide support and guidance for their businesses. Their mission is to accelerate growth and enhance competitiveness, among other objectives.
According to an article posted by Central Penn Business Journal, an area considered for a chapter must have at least 300 women business owners that meet the basic revenue requirements of at least $2 million annually, $1 million for a service-based business.
There are more than 127 chapter locations across the globe, nearly 100 of which are located throughout the United States. A professionally trained chapter chair facilitates each chapter. If there is a WPO chapter in your town, it is a safe bet that your town is growing and/or is expected to grow.
Central Pennsylvania is clearly an excellent place to work and live, so consider buying a new home with Keystone Custom Homes, a builder who is “exactly where you want to be.”
